❝ I am young, I am twenty years old; yet I know nothing of life but despair, death, fear, and fatuous superficiality cast over an abyss of sorrow. I see how peoples are set against one another, and in silence, unknowingly, foolishly, obediently, innocently slay one another. ❞
❝ For a star to be born, there is one thing that must happen: a gaseous-nebula must collapse. ❞

Stella Nox Fleuret
as portrayed by Ailli
❝ So collapse. Crumble. This is not your destruction. This is your birth. ❞
it is said that the goddess etro will OPEN THE GATE to welcome the souls of the departed. when that happens it is said a bright light shall shine from the LAND OF THE DEAD. any who witnessed that light is rumored to receive GREAT POWER, or at least that is how the LEGEND is suppose to go…
( i have been thinking about it for a long time … and perhaps there is something that i am meant to do. why else, was i given this ability : to SHINE and to BURN. )
# 𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐄𝐒 - independent, private, headcanon-based STELLA NOX FLEURET from the discarded concept of final fantasy versus xiii. extremely cross-over friendly with numerous verses featuring : kingdom heart’s nameless star, genshin impact tsaritsa, fabula nova chrystallis etro successor and heavy inspiration from greek mythology asteria. beloved and cherished forever by ailli. PERSONALS DO NOT INTERACT.
random headcanon : stella is living off borrowed time. she is the star that feeds off the light, surviving on extenuating circumstance, and without bhunivelze’s light her soul will eventually succumb. her near-death experience was originally meant to kill her. the only reason why she did not pass away and fall under the reincarnation cycle was because of her encounter with two different gods. although, the young star was originally blessed by etro —- etro knowing what would befall stella’s fate, did not permit her young ward to return back to the mortal plane. instead, she begins to train stella to understand the balance between the living the dead. of course, not everything went according to plan. the vengeful bhunivelze would instead strike a deal with the young child’s soul. in exchange for her return back to the mortal world, she was to bring forth a fraction of his light back with her. that marks the beginning of his ordained return and stella finally awakening from her trauma induced coma.
i am going to start re-organizing my drafts, and dropping things that i would say are pretty old. naturally, i won’t drop the threads that are heavily plotted — but let me know if you wish to continue old threads / or make a new one :)
𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐋𝐋𝐀 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐀 𝐍𝐎𝐑𝐌𝐀𝐋 𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐋𝐃. This was not intended to be cruel, but merely a statement of truth. She did not carry the weight of eldest child responsibility and heir to Tenebrae the way Ravus did. She did not even possess the gift of the Oracle. By all accounts, Stella should have been an average girl.
Yet, early on, it was evident that Stella could see and perceive things that no one else could. Sylva had voiced her concerns to Aulea on several occasions regarding the child’s odd behaviour and claims of seeing things — things that, to the average onlooker, were not really there.
It was only in death that Aulea finally understood.
There was no one else in the room and Aulea didn’t expect there to be. No one came in here anymore. Not since Regis had closed it off after her passing, left to the ravages of time as though the dusty layers of forgotten mementos would create a balm upon his wounded heart. She did not blame him. But Stella, precocious as she was, had found her way into the Queen’s abandoned sitting room as if drawn by some invisible tether. Perhaps she’d sensed Aulea’s presence there. Or perhaps she’d merely been overcome with curiosity. Whatever the case was, Aulea found her staring into a pair of wide, solemn eyes and felt seen. Truly seen.
Their conversation was brief at the time, and Stella was eventually ushered out of the room by a servant; but the child always found her way back somehow.
On one particular day, Stella found the spectre of Noctis’ mother staring out the window, bereft. Aulea seemed to feel that more often lately as the years passed and Noctis grew older; she was missing so much of his life, unable to tell him that she was there with him always.
Stella picked up on it, those same solemn eyes following the Queen’s gaze out the window.
Life is like that, isn’t it? she asked. Aulea didn’t realise some of her pain had been given a voice until Stella had spoken up.
❛ Like what? ❜
Sad.
The Queen startled, but her expression sobered into something more like quiet contemplation. When she looked out the window again, she could see Noctis and Lunafreya in the garden. Her smile was soft, and fond.
ff7r verse where the fleurets are part of the clergy and have major influence towards the main religion in midgar —– with the current matriarch being equivalent to the pope, and the eldest son being a high ranking commander in shinra’s military division. and stella is out there living her best privilege life while hearing voices equivalent to the end of the world :)
given her polite demeanor and his easy-going nature, it’s quite clear the two of them would get along rather well. after all, they were friends when they were much younger and got into loads of harmless mischief together. granted, at the time, stella was still very young and much more prone to be both spoiled and entitled. she probably did not really understand his physical disability, and would sulk every time her sister gives him more attention or if the adults gave him any special treatment. but of course, she does mean well and would even share some of her toys and treats during his stay in tenebrae. sometimes they would exchange stories of constellation and she would confide in him her peculiar interest of the death and rebirth of stars. there was even some moments before his accidents where the two would sneak off and chase after frogs only to get in trouble when they return lol.
sadly though, things did change as they grew older. politics took over, and with the complete annexation of fenestala manor their friendship came to an end. stella resided in niflheim for a good decade, with her having very limited contact outside if at all. their reunion after the peace treaty was the first time they saw each other after many years and obviously things have change. it was awkward at first, they were not the same kids as they were before. they were older now and carried burdens that did not exist in comparison to a simpler time. stella, in particular, is still adapting to her life outside of niflheim control. but hey, she does trust noctis and would indulge in his fishing interest ( tho frankly, she doesn’t share the same enthusiasm ). she probably loved to tease him about her sister, and pull minor tricks here and there. once he invited her to join him in exploring one of the royal tombs, and she was delighted in telling him ghost story during their trip. he also allowed her to drive regalia once —- but that ended because she was very speed happy. all in all, i would they become excellent friends during their travels together. lots of teasing and memories, like the calm before the storm.
